Has anyone ever used or heard of these decoys I just came across them and they seem to be cheap in price for a wood decoy.
Chris,
I've been gone for awhile (school and orchard work), and checking back posts i came upon yours.
Autumn Wing decoys are being sold by a Minnesota Co., but are made in China, of a pattern made by a MN carver.
The original Autumn Wing decoys were made of urothane and were literally bullet proof! They were produced in both ring bill and bluebill species. They may have produced others in urethane, but these were the most commonly found species.
I was fortunate to pick up almost three dozen ringbills and bluebills, that were custom repainted by MN artist, Don Souderland, and are absolutely a work of art.
At $8.00 a pop, painted, you can build a great rig of decoys using their heads. I wish they were bigger.
Take care, and good luck with them!
