Avery boat blind/ Grass mats

Just got a used Avery boat blind, It has the the wind shield (heavy canvas) and this faded out die cut camo netting. I want to get some grass mats, what are the best brand/color to get. Also what is the best way to attach it. Thanks!!!!

Some years back I had an Avery boat blind on a 16 foot Jon and never did like the die cut camo. No depth to the texture and beats in the wind. IMO any blind material that beats in the wind is a disaster. We carried a battery operated hedge trimmer with us and covered the thing in vegetation every time we used it.
........
When I picked up another Jon boat in 2005 I used a northern flight frame (same as avery) but added the flip top. By drilling some extra holes in the frame the flip top pulls back down the frame and stays inside the gunnels. I then covered the frame and wind blockers with Mud Buddy Shaggy panels. We then Tie wrapped small bundles of lighter colored Killer weed to the panels. I fastened the bland material to the frame using 1/2 olive colored self drilling hex head sheet metal screws.
.........
We can hunt 3 guys with two dogs easy out of the 18 footer and it looks good. When the blind is up we drape a shaggy panel on the front deck and over the motor.
........
Here's the link - the shaggy panels look much better in life then they do in the company photos.

Have you considered using raffia grass? I have a Flyway Specialties blind with a windblocker/3D nylon camo. I added a netting over it and zip tied raffia grass to it.

I went overboard on the camo, I guess I should have stepped back and looked more often. I could get the same look with about 1/3 less grass. I had to trim a lot off the bottom to prevent it from dragging in the water. It looks pretty natural when pulled into the grass.
