Ba-130 Breakaway Unit

I really appreciate the wealth of knowledge and experience that exists on this site! I'm trying to get outfitted with a new motor and worthwhile accessories. Can anybody out there shed some light on this item. Sounds good in concept but is it good in application. Again, I would really appreciate some input......Thanks.

I had a break away unit on a previous boat and it performed as advertized on a number of occasions (cypress knees, sand bars, oyster bars and a couple of stumps). The reason I had it on the boat was the Yam 60 tiller had TNT and I couldn't run it unlocked like I normally do with my duck boat. Only drawback was in reverse the motor would pop up if you got on the throttle.
