Back from Manitoba

Just got back from Manitoba last evening. Lots of driving; 3300 miles total. But the hours and work were definitely worth it. This was my 5th year heading to this beautiful province. It is a waterfowling paradise!! We hunted our second year with Kris Wujick at Michitoba Outfitters. Kris just acquired a beautiful cabin on Tokaryk Lake and it is over the top!! Kris worked very hard to get us on birds and he mixed it up between snows, Canadas, and mallards. We also fit in a diver shoot on one of the larger lakes and wound up with 11 species of birds on this trip. I would highly recommend him if anyone is looking to go to Canada to hunt waterfowl. He is a very classy guy and has incredible knowledge about waterfowl and the region.

Can't say enough about this trip and our outfitter. The stars and planets aligned, the weather was perfect, and the birds cooperated. It was without question my best trip to Canada. We are already planning next year and working out details to do some layout hunting for divers.

Thanks for looking,
Steve

Been there...Kris is great and does work hard. We had great hunts every outing. Glad you had a good time Doc! Hitch

Looks like you had a wonderful time.
I'd ask you to post more pics, but Kristan might get suicidal ;-)
Tall tree and short rope time for me... :) I missed this year...About every other year seems to be a barn burner on birds...The reality of trips like this are not just the smoke poles, the birds, but the wonderful week of laughter with friends.

Regards,
Kristan

NIce! Glad to hear you had another good trip North. That's some of my favorite country you were hunting there. More pictures!

Man, it was 88 degrees here Saturday. I want to think hunting, but it's hard to when it feels like June. Looks like your season is off to a great start though.

Awesome to see. The photos are killing me though. I still have two weeks until we are off to ND. Hope we have as much fun as it looks like you did!

Steve, I think the hardest thing in the world to do must be "to leave" Manitoba. Great hunts. Good for you. Thanks for sharing those moments.
