We're back from the east coast and the Chessy Challenge and had a ball. Many thanks to all at the Ward Museum for putting on a class act sponsoring the NEA mentoring program and for the Chesapeake Challenge contest. Here are a few pic's and I'll try to post more when I get caught up with business, phone calls and emails.
Here is a shot of my NEA class with their decoys. I'm happy to say that everyone of them won a ribbon in the Chessy Challenge Open contest.

This was all of my student decoys that were entered in the NEA Masters contest.

This will give you a little idea of the amount of decoys entered in the contest.

This will give you an idea how crowded the tanks got.

The Ward Foundation had a Round Table discussion with the Master Carvers. Each Master talked about their class project and the future of the art form.

It was nice to see a lot of old friends especially our dear friend OBI.

Seems like a wonderful place to be especially with decoys and friends...

The Chesapeake Challenge and NEA class were not the only things celebrated last week end. The Ward Foundation Museum is now accreditied by the American Association of Museums. We celebrated in a grand way with a Pig Roast and congressional presentations. I just want to offer my congratulations to a class act that is protecting and presenting our Art form in a proper setting. Thanks Ward Foundation and Staff.
