Back to the bench...

Nice looking decoys as always, should be really neat after you get them painted. Is there any oversized Black Duck in the future? I'll see you at the Henry Decoy Show...... got a table again this year.

Hello Pat,
Great looking birds! I really like your style. Please post some pictures when you start and finish painting them. Will they be oils or acrylics? I really like the swimmer. It looks like you have no shortage of wood to work with. Thanks for sharing with us.. Take care, Ed

Tim - Sorry I haven't replied sooner. Was in Southern Illinois duck hunting. No blacks recently carved. Do I owe you one? What head pose? Also, I do plan to bring the 6 gadwall if you are still interested in them. I also hope to get your parents flying mallard done. Haven't been carving much. Too much hunting. Let me know, thanks and God bless! Pat

Pat,
No you don't owe me a Black Duck.......just wondering if you had came up with any unique head positions. A "Swimming" Oversize Cork Black Duck would look good in the rig, when you have time...no rush.
I've been hunting way too much lately as well, can't get enough of the Canadas around here. My hunting buddies and I have shot 100+ Canadas so far this year. I finally shot my first banded (legband) Canada on 12-30-08; it only took 28 years.
Hope your waterfowl hunts are as enjoyable as what I've had this season.
See you at the Henry Decoy Show!!!
