Backboard - Seat height?

Did not want to highjack the other thread.... I have been thinking about the backboard design too, but am curious how high above the floor do you guys sit? I am thinking you want some bend in the knees, with your feet below your butt? I have a displacement hull, if I sit on the floor, my feet will actually be even or higher than my butt? The invisilounger is only a couple inches thick I am guessing. I sketched up a simple folding seat with backrest that would put me up a couple inches, and then with a boat cushion to sit on would be a good 4 inches high.

What have you found that is comfortable for hours on end?

TIA, Dave

I like the invisilounge or similar seat for my sneakbox. The padding really helps for long days in the boat. I didn't use it one day and I was definitely sore after a few hours.

Depending on how deep your boat is, mine is pretty deep, that will determine if your only option is to keep your legs bent. I can put mine straight out, bent, etc. with size 11 waders, but again my boat has a lot of depth.

Dave,

I don't think this hijacks the backboard question thread. Quite the contrary, I think it makes it better.
