Jim, If you aren't opposed to laminating samller stuff together the $17 per decoy can be cut in half. From what I can gather (not for sure, I could be wrong) finding 3x6 balsa in one block is like finding 5x10 cedar. Bit harder to come by and pricier. I have done a bit of experimenting with scraps and found that it it gles together well with tiebond 2 and three. Pretty porous so there is a lot of tooth to it for gluing. Look here at the 3x3 prices
