I'm with Bob on the 2 wheel Delta with a 6 inch riser. Mine has cut out thousands of decoys and has performed flawlessly. Haven't had to replace anything except for blades in 20 years. And, I tilt my table to do lots of trimming of the block. With that riser, you have 14 inches of cutting depth. That way you can turn a goose or swan body on it's side to cut out a profile cut on your large species. I would recommend at least a 1hp motor.
Still on the hunt so to speak. Not a lot of options locally. Had my sights set on one then on a whim checked to see what the riser would cost and it was around $200 just for that. The saw was only $450 to begin with.
I'll find something. Been keeping my eye on craigslist. Seems like a lot of people getting rid of their craftsmans. Lol.
Oh, and a used Half horsepower delta is fetching $400.
