Basto Village Decoy Show

Upon entering Basto Village for the decoy show, we were immediately greeted by Jode Hillman who had his display of very stunning birds. Jode loves to chat with anyone that has a story to tell or to just accept a gracious compliment on his surperb decoys. Jode had a few turkey box calls for sale as you can see on the lower left. I picked up a sweet sounding call for Kyle.

And a neat little GWT. This was one of my favorite decoys by Jode. I know how much he loves Teal and they are probably his favorite to carve as well

Great pics Mike. That turkey is as big as Kyle! Sorry that I missed you. I was there early..........................Kevin

We were there after 10:00 but left shortly after. Kyle got stung by a bee on his thumb so we left to go get him some afterbite and decided to call it a day.

Mike, It was nice to see you and Kyle. What a beautiful day in the Pines it was. I was surprised by how well the calls were received. I didn't take any home!

Good talking to you to Kev, Your dekes are looking great, Jode

You guys had a great breezy day. I was worried for a bit that the skies would open up and then the clouds left. Kyle was making some sweet music on your call all the way home.....for over and hour. :o)
