Drove up to Mom's last night with the boat in tow. I had almost all the hardware I needed, figured I had enough to get started. Honestly did not expect to get as far as we did in just one day. Worked about 7 hours on it today and got both the dodger pieces created. Need to install the snaps and that will be done. Left the cockpit apron parts for her to work on during the weeks ahead....

Everywhere the snaps will be installed is re-enforced with webbing in the hem.

Dave, your mom is the best!

My mom sewed and I really didn't appreciate the skill that it took until she passed on. I miss her.... You're a lucky man to have such a talented and helpful mom. Buy that woman some flowers!

Dave, So long as this dodger is on your boat, you will know who built it and that alone will make it special. As the years go by, it will become even more special.
These are the things that make memories that will last for the rest of your days. We only get one mom and yours is giving you something that will last a lifetime. These are the best of stories. I sure miss my mom or mum as I called her. She left us a year ago and I would give anything to have another experience like you are having now.

Best, Bill

that is Crazy Cool! Your mom is a champ. Looks great and home made to boot.

You are going to be thinking of her on that first hunt in the light rain or flurries.

Boat looks awesome.
