BBSB Lid Cover Seal Gasket

Does anyone know of a source or can suggest a suitable material for making a weatherproof seal on the lid cover of my BBSB? Ideally it would have a knife edge type slit pre-cut in to the material. Vinyl or a rubber/foam material preferable I would think.

Could you glue a a thicker piece of neoprene into the lid? That way you will still get a seal if things don't line up perfectly.
