Our mechanics used line-x on an aluminium work boat. The entire interrior, gunwales, and half way down the hull. It is great stuff, eventhough it was dark gray, it wouldn't get to hot to touch, unlike raw aluminium. It also provided great traction. However after about a year in one location on the exterior of the hull, a spot about one foot wide began to lift. I tore off the scab and it looked like it didn't adhere well in that spot. The rest of the boat looked and worked great though. I guess it was expensive, around $2,000 to do the 16 foot duckworth.
