Been doing some interior decorating…

It's been great Tod, the school is great and the students are really fired up. We just received word that the new Student Chapter of the Wildlife Society was approved. The hard part is looking out the window of my building at a 6,000 acre lake and trying to get work done! We have about 17" of ice right now on the big lakes and I just want to get out and fish, not write lectures!

Let me know when you want to stop by!

GREAT TO HEAR IT. So life is good all around then! 17" of ice is a lot, I'm glad I don't ice fish or I'd have to buy a power auger for that :).

Screw the lecture writing, wear a lab coat and round glasses to lecture (or one of those blazers with elbow patches) and just pontificate off the cuff. Much easier :).

I flushed a woodcock this year on November 20th from the same little seep as last year during deer season. That is late, isn't it?

Tod,
I would expect you could go somewhere in CT during any month this year and find a woodcock. Unlike most years, if it's warm like it was last year they might even be in normal covert areas and not huddled in springs/seeps.

I did find them well into December during my project.
