Finishing up Broadbill sleepers, and turning to Redheads next.... will review my inventory this weekend and make a full order. I have been slowly compiling a spreadsheet of Steve's paint schedules, by species, sex, color, part number, and body part.
 
one little aside - the first time i ordered a bunch of the sample sizes- i left them on a work bench in the shed for the winter

I discovered that it seems that when latex paint freezes - it is ruined

the next batch went in the cellar next to the wine rack - that is still good years later

just an FYI from one beginner to the others
 
Just called 2 homedepots. The answer i got was the sale is for certain colors only that are available on line. They will mix any color but have no way to ship from store location. Will have to pickup in store at regular price.
My closest HD is about 50 miles down an indian trail. 62 miles on a big road. Please remember i live in Appalachia so this might not apply to your location.
I'll just take a ride, pop in and surprise 'em.[;)]
 
I went to our local Home Depot and spoke with the paint section manager and they matched the online price. It was somewhat comical, because he said as long as you don't want thirty and I had intended on getting fifty samples. We agreed on twenty five and I left them my list overnight. The folks at the paint counter were great, and fast. They called back in about 2 hours and they were all done.

I am also getting "not available on-line" for most of the additionals I needed to order? Also the free shipping ends today it looks like.
 
Has this worked for anyone yet?

I made 2 orders a week ago. Have never received shipping confirmation and I can not get any updated info on my orders? Supposed to arrive today and tomorrow. I'll wait and see if they arrive?
 
So the sale ended on 10/22. I ordered 6 of the 10 or so that I needed, the other 4 showing out of stock? How could they be out of stock on something they need to mix? Anyway went to the local HD and got the rest mixed, but at the regular price since it was after the 22nd. Mine are due today according to UPS tracking. Still free shipping online though. I ordered one today that was from the old paint codes. Fedora is not listed anymore, and Steve suggests Aging Barrel in it's place. I ordered the Fedora just because....
