Best Primative Weapon for Deer?(NDR)

Up until he passed, it was all grey and smelled like the "tonic" he had mixed up. Oh yeah, baby powders,and whatever else those old prehistoroes had drizzled on. I was on the verge of putiing up an electric fence.
 
Thanks for all the advice guys. Thank you, Charlie for the link. And no, I'm not really interested in a real Primitive Weapons experience. I'd drop them with a .50 cal machine gun flying just above the trees in a Warthog if I could. I just want to kill these vermin, and will enjoy chowing down on their remains. I see some of y'all hunting coyotes, and I was going to get into that until I realized that they're probably keeping the deer in check, so best left alone I figure. So y'all think this CVA Buckhorn 209 Magnum Rifle will drop 'em "like a sack of spuds" just like Harker's gun? The price is right. Although I see at Gander Mountain they have something similar with a scope for just a bit more. Probably don't need a scope though.

Heck Ed,no matter what you use,you wouldn't be able to take enough of them leagally to solve the problem.The hair idea works,only go to your local barber shop and get a bag full of hair to spread around your garden and flower beds.Shoot the ones you can with slugs or buckshot from your shotgun.
 
Get the scope and sight it in for the distance you see the deer...then go for head shots..you won't mess up the meat and they won't run over and die in your neighbors back yard.

The .50 cal slug or sabot doesn't have any idea what brand of gun it came out of. At the end of the day, the cheap one will do the same job as the expensive one. Maybe not as pretty, but perfectly servicable as long as you point it right.
 
You can purchase a motion-activated head for your garden hose that will give them a quick spray and some noise, runs off batteries. We used it to keep the feral pigs from rooting in new sod, worked pretty good. They may end up getting used to it but I don't think it costs more than $20.

Yeah, head shots. Dat's what I'm talking about! Don't want to be legging all through the woods to find the sucker. Kill 'em right on the road where I can just scoop 'em into the back of my truck.

The good old TC Hawkin in 50 cal or Renegade in 54 cal with bullet or patched ball will knock those four leggers dead at 75 yard. You do not need any fancy rifle with these high tech bullets, plain old lead drops them dead.

I think this is what you are looking for. I think savage has one too that is a bad a$$ but I don't think any one ever went wrong buying a Remington. Pyrodex and a little good aim on your part = deer on the barbie for the weekend.
