Bird cleaning made easy

Bomber-

Just rigged up the swap bird from HdG. She'll be the only Wiley bird in my rig until I sneak something out of George's basement ;-)

Looks like it works well. Only thing is in some states only taking the breasts of birds the size of geese and mallards is illegal. Yeah, I don't know how the enforce it once you are home. I do know canadas have some tastey legs and thighs. I don't think it took away enough of the snow geese to make them taste better.
I'd like to see them try that with some woodies or ringers.

btw Good to see your name on here again.

Hey Tim......still no naked decoy. I'm beginning to think you call just to talk to Di. Get that puppy in a box and ups it.....HEHE!

hey tim i heard you hunted with some friends of mine saturday in west swanton. me and two buddies were on the east side of north hero. we could hear you guys shooting. we managed five whistlers out of seven that came in.

if you got a chance i would like to talk to you about a decoy show/friendly competition that im trying to get off the ground. its going to go along with the DU event that was held at the sand bar last oct. would like to go over some of the "common rules" for a competition, as i know you have judged a few.

thanks tim.

Jay Anglin showed me a way to do pheasant that takes less time...and is free. Hold the bird by it's feet with the breasts facing away, step on both wings and pull. The only downsides are, if the bird was shot by a nimrod at 10 feet or you are too fat to bend over. A year before this, Brent Mason did it with ducks at long point and they were a little tougher to do...had to cut the heads off first I think.

Lee--
That method works great with pheasants and grouse too--as long as you do it right away while they're still warm. I've never tried it with ducks. Best thing is, you don't need a contraption, just feet and hands.

Pretty cool...and Judas Priest for the soundtrack

I was going to guess Kiss for the sound track, but I haven't been 16 for a while now and am out of the loop.

I am not sure you save that much time with it as you still need to cut off the head first and wings afterwards.
