Some pictures of my Black Brant III progress. Seems like the boat has been almost done for months but I am having fun. Will fish with it in the spring/summer. Hunt with it next Fall. The blind post mounts are aluminum sleeved with a bottom pin. Posts are slotted to engage pin. Used sch 40 3/4 inch aluminum pipe from onlinemetals.com. Nurail fittings. Blind is 43 inches high, 28 inches wide and 6 ft long. I broke the sch 40 pipe when I tried to bend it 20 degrees. Used my shop press and some wood fixtures. Rear posts are bent in two places. Frt posts bent to 15 degrees OK. I want to make a separate (lower) dodger style spray shield/blind that will use the two front post mounts. Next will be the canvas work. Got some "2nds" Cordura 1000 olive drab fabric from Rochfordsupply.com for $4.50 yd. Good stuff. Hope I can sew it with my wife's sewing machine. Not sure yet how the blind will go around the engine. Need to get it on my boat trailer, mount the outboard and then design the blind around the engine. I plan on doing a large block camo pattern with some spray cans. Maybe paint the camo pattern on the blind also.
