I was in Ohio on a business trip about a month ago and was driving from Cleveland to Detroit and had a few hours to kill before my next appointment, so I took the lakeside route instead of the turnpike. Saw a sign for a launch ramp around Port Clinton, the road would through a big marsh, and I met and talked to a couple of people that were coming in from perch fishing. They told me there were lots of pike in that backwater area and they often fished for those also. After that, I stopped and had some perch at a local joint, which is the other reason I take that drive when I'm out that way.
