blind backing materials????

Hey guys just wanted some advice on a backing for my boat blind. I am building a fold up-down blind out of emt, am pondering the decision of a material for the backing. Some that have crossed my mind are the plastic garden fencing, or some type of conveyor material. This is my first attempt at a blind and hardly anyone around here duck hunts so i'm kinda feeling my way around this. The middle material is german netting sewed to cotton sheets. I'll probably put a grass finishing nearer to the season. That's me on the right, and here's one of my dog TRINITY SOBE REIGNS- she's a 3&1/2 yr old chessie

My first attempt with a scisorrs type blind I used the plastice fencing. It didn't work very well. It's too stiff in the summer and gets worst as it gets cold. My second attempt I opted for fish netting from a craft store then used the black garden fabric behind that for a wind break. I zip tied fastgrass to the netting and the backing material to a frame I made from 1x2's. I used it a couple of years but didn't like having to climb over the horizontal 1x2's that went across the gunnels. Finally my dog ended jumping on the front 1x2 and broke it so I threw the thing away.

i had a scissor type blind on an old 14 ft aluminum v-hull. I used fast grass mats for the blind. i didn't have any backing material. the mats lasted for three years with out much trouble. The ends did fray up a lot driving down the road. this was my only regret. If i was to do it again i would use a type of netting so that when the blind was down there was enough material to rap the blind and help keep all the grass ends tucked in tight. i am in the process of designing a blind for my new boat. I bought a fish net material from a industrial fishing store here in NH I think this will work for what i plan to do.

Canvas from the army surplus store works well and last a very long time if you keep it stored during the summer.
