Does anyone remember Pete Layton ? Pete built at least 3 boats for me ,the last in the late 60's. I still have the 12' planning hull sneak boat,plywood bottom and deck canvas covered. I used to run a 10 hp. johnson on it.

No pics at this time, the boat is stored in my barn, i will attempt to post in the future. I was curious if anyone from L.I. remembered pete and his boats. His shop was located near the commander oil docks in Oyster Bay harbor.

I know the area when I used to work at Frank M. Flowers & Sons shellfish company but I never knew of the boats or the shop. I miss hunting that area though before buearicrats and politics cut out hunting in the refuge areas of the bay.
