Boat building decision, perhaps geared to guys that hunt in NJ Coastal region.

Jode- I live order in Cherry Hill, which as you know is not far from you in Mullica Hill. I would be rather appreciative of an opportunity to put eyes on a Mallard and Bluebill. Not sure if that is something you are willing to accommodate or arrange. If you wish, shoot me a PM.

Much this in advance.

C,
here is a picture of a local built boat (Jersey Scow?) painted for fishing. I saw a number of others when I looked around after the show.
Jode,
do guys still hunt out of these when the call is for 2+ guys and gear+dog or have most gone to other designs that also work in the shallows for transport?

Bob, yes, Guys still gun out of them. But most of the time they use the bigger Garveys and scows for transport to the sedge banks , then grass down a pond box and gun from that. It all depends how tall the grass is where you set up.

Jode is right on. A lot of guys hunt that way on long island too, use the garvey run the bay and then hunt out of pond boxes or a towed sneakbox.

That photo above is of Bob Fricke's set up at Tuckerton.
