Boat Light Recommendations?

Speaking of lights on an earlier post. Since the season is now over, it's time to find things/projects to do to prep for next year. I have a couple of headlights on my boat's bow but haven't been very satisfied with them. Anybody have any recommendations? I saw a thread on another site about Baja lights but seemed like they were too pricey.

Does anybody have any recommendations for head/running lights for my boat that don't cost as much as a new shotgun?

Permanent running lights or removable ones?
Either way, the new LEDs hold up alot better than the older ones did.

I have never seen a need for headlights but a few guys like them. For me, letting you eyes adjust to the dark and using a spotlight when needed works best.

Thanks for your response Carl. I was looking for some permanent running lights. Tha area I hunt on the Arkansas river is loaded with obstacles. Stumps, logs, sand bars, bouys, other boats...you name it. If you get some rough weather then new obstacles get moved around and then can come into play. I use a spotlight but like having the continuous lights going as well.

Well, cant help with the headlights. And I use LED removable running lights, so I am not much help!

There are a couple of guys on here who have headlights mounted on their boats, maybe one of them will jump in.

Hi Tom. I run the AR also and am about to go to these lights. I have seen them in action and wow. Pricey, but wow. And they are located in Russellville. Their website says they have an OK dealer.

tgentry......Thanks for the info! Which set are you going with? The 12inch double row might fit the bill. Yes a little pricey but check out the Baja lights price. Would have to sell a shotgun to get one of those!

I'm likely gonna go with the 12" double row. I am probably going to mount it on some sort of easily removable quick release plate and electrical plug so I can move it to my my small boat for running Bayou Meto or to take it off and bring it inside away from prying fingers of lowlifes. Can't afford to get one for each boat! I just hadn't figured out the release plate yet.

Trip.
