Bolting Motor on transom

I'm looking at a new light weight somewhat longtail mud motor for my Chuck Huff. The only issue I see right now it that it is a bolt on transom mount. What are some views of the bolt on vs. screw down clamp style? I personally don't like the idea of drilling a couple holes through my transom.

Thanks,
Ron

motors seldom fall off when bolted on.

These bolts are usually well above the waterline, properly sealed should never be a problem. I bolted mine, even though there are clamps.... just mixed up some epoxy, using a q-tip is coated the inside of the holes and let it cure then put the motor on. SS bolts, washers, and nylok nuts.
