Bones Boats has a new 18' line coming soon

Hey guys,

Just wanted to post some 3-d's of our new 18' line were coming out with soon. She is a result of those of you filling out our surveys and letting us know what you'd like to see in a boat. We ran the covered shelving entire inside of boat on this one. Enjoy and please continue to fill out those surveys: http://www.bonesboats.com/build.html

Cool design - looks a lot like the boats the Aussies and kiwi's build. The console looks awful big, I would rather have the floor space. Should be a nice boat. I have enjoyed your other build - very clean work and nice welds.

I agree about the size. I would want it just big enough to mount a chartplotter, binnacle controls and steering wheel. I would also set it against the starboard gunwale.

Davey,

Nice design !! What do you think that boat will draft wen all said and done and how about weight ? What are you using for 3d software ? It looks like Rhino anyways good luck with the production of this boat .

Very neat.

This is just my opinion, but breaking the edge of the hull extension with a similar look to the tumblehome on the hull would look cool. I don't love the extension (I know it isn't a hull extension, but it looks like one with the false transom, anyway), and that would soften the look - everything else has nice curves, but it.

Hi guys,

DZ, CS: All we did was carry over the console from the 22'. We will change accordingly but all electronics and batteries are going to be stored in that area. The size of the console will be decreased if we find we can access it easily and have room to move around on the 22'. We are also considering side hatches on the console to get to the battery area which would allow us to go smaller on the console. Great observations and thankyou.

DM: Thanks, As far as the draft and weight. 6-8 inches or less would be nice. We are shooting for 2000-2200lbs or less. Yes, it is Rhino.

Todd, I have to say thanks. I've been very particular about the boat as I hope can be seen but I did miss that potential detail. I'm going to add that to the 22' and see how it looks but I'm confident you hit it on the head. Awesome observation man!!! Thanks, I'll send you some pics we it happens!!!

Todd,

Here's what we came up with after your idea... had to accomodate scuppers but definitely much better...
