Bought my tickets for Westlake...

I know we talked about a DB showing at ODCCA Westlake this year. I hope some of you are still on for that. Now's the time. Ticket prices dropped about $150 for me this week, so I bought mine today. They musta burned up all that expensive "get Obama elected" jetfuel... only $258 now on Delta straight from Melbourne to Cleveland, no tin cans and only one stop in Atlanta each way.

So I hope some of you all will still show up. It's a great time with great friends, famous decoys, and the famous guys who carve and paint them. I'm getting in Thursday afternoon and leaving Sunday evening.

Hey Hitch glad you are goign to make it again. Remember that we have our food and drink time after the show ends on Sunday so don't leave real early on Sunday. We go from 4om to 9pm with the dinner and drinks on Sunday. Hope you can make it. HHG
 
oh yeah........we'll be there. Wouldn't miss it. Looking forward to jawing with you again.....over a drink........or even without a drink. ;)

when is this Westlake show? Is there a link? What is it all about? I have family in Dover, OH, may need to impose again? Dave
 
Well, Throw me into the mix. I'll be driving so if anyone needs to save some shipping on one of Ira's boats I can throw on as many as I can carry.

Lou is right Dave he must test the boat. Mark glad that your coming up and plan on carving, I'll have a knive ready for you. The bird this year is a blue heron, ouch. HHG
 
I may have to go just to watch you sweat it out over the bird. A heron? Can you eat those things?

Going to throw some birds into the pool. I've booked 3 rooms and will be bringing some folks from western KY. Haven't been to the show in 2 years, so looking forward to heading back.

Not going to make it this year, but I'm planning on going back next year. On a side note Hitch, I'm getting ready to paint a Goldeye hen that you might be interested in?
