Those are some good looking boxes how did you do the insides? Wire mesh?
Great job! Good looking boxes too.
You need to put predator guards up on those beautiful boxes or coons and snakes might harvest all the eggs and maybe the hen.
I cut all branches and tall grasses away from the nest box each Spring too. That keeps snakes from reaching the box even with predator guards.
These two black rats made it inside this box last year and ate every egg.
Thanks Taylor I do plan on putting a shield on each post so the snakes and other critters are kept out.
Smear grease around the pole, and the snake won,t cross it.
That is a great thing to do, Doug. What direction is the box facing and does it make a difference? I don't know.

I put mine on steel sign posts that I got from public works shop out in the water. BTW I found a set of plans that get 3 out of a single sheet of exterior plywood. I will check it out and post more details, I think it was from the Wash or Oregon DNR. Not cedar but they probably will outlast me. " A good plan today beats a perfect plan tomorrow"
