Brant decoys for Canadas?

I have two dozen Herters #96 geese painted as brant. I hope to head out brant hunting again this season. But until that happens I may use them up at the lake, which is 9 hours inland.

Will they work on Canada geese? They would be with other actual Canada goose decoys.

After I harvest a couple brant, hopefully, I will likely convert them all back to Canada's. But until them I was wondering about using them anyway as is, as brant???

I was planning something similar. I have 6 of the Sportplast Brant decoys sold at Knutson's. I was hoping to give them a shot with Canada geese. I don't have a single Canada decoy and figured they would possibly be better than nothing. Especially at daybreak and sunset when I plan to hunt the Canadas right now anyway.

Let us know how you do. I will be giving it a try this Friday and Saturday.
 
Guys on the East coast usually do it the other way around since Brant decoy to Goose decoys readily.....and most everything else LOL
