Brant

next year.....the only reason that wouldn't happen is that he also wants to go to Maine....if he does that just come on out without him....thats an invite....

Didn't get to hunt with Jon but did enjoy talking with him at the ramp and at dinner on Sat. night....I'll remember the BBQ sauce thing....

or two, or three.....since they were made, and hunted, on the West Coast it would be a shame for at least a couple of them not to spend the next part of their lives floating int he Pacific....

Rutgers sent me a link to one that is on E-Bay right now....(thanks Paul)....I'll watch that one but would like to see some pictures of others if you have them, (assuming that you are selling them in some fashion other than E-Bay).

Thanks,

Steve

Are thos eMark V scaup? Those are fine looking gunners

Yes they are and they look amazing on the water. I've got some pictures of them floating, but I am not about to post them on a public forum because they show a bit of "scenery" as well.

Jason - you need to help me make one of those high-head birds sometime soon.

jon, great pictures! thanks much on the dekes. im glad you had a chance to hunt over them. im glad fred has been hunting them hard. it took him a few weeks before they put any shot in them though! sounds like you got spoiled out west as well. they have it made out there, dont they and class acts to boot! hey if you want the pattern for that bird, shoot me line. ill send it to you. best, mark

I'm ready to get started on some birds for Westlake -- I've got a lot of work to do.

It will probably be a couple of weeks, though. As you know, I'm in the Keys right now, back in the office on Monday, then right back down to Tampa on Tues, Wed, & Thurs of next week.

Jason, I hope that you are enjoying the sleet/snow/ice. It was about 78 degrees here today with partly cloudy skies and a good breeze. I'm in my room now with the sliding door open to the deck because it is still about 70 degrees with the winds rustling the palm trees just outside (I'm on the 2nd floor). Tomorrow is going to be above 80 with another healthy dose of sun.

I may be up for some carving on Sunday -- I'll call you. Also, I am going to be in town for the youth hunt, so let me know if you want/need my help.

Mark -- I'm going to PM you my contact info. I would LOVE to get that pattern. THANKS!!!

If you're putting something together for Maine again next year, please let me know. I'd like to give it another whack. I owe some Scoter a hurtin'. Ed, if you're up for it, I've got a BiPAP now and the snoring won't be an issue.

I have just learned a something about pics also . I dont have high speed internet so i use a accelurater and that takes out pixcels to make them download faster , so you have to turn that off to work with photos .

talk to Jon Espy because to a large extent it will be his participation that will make it happen....he's talking about driving up and towing his boat...if that is going to happen for sure then a Maine trip might be a possibility this year but it will be very limited as to number of people....get on the list quick with Jon if you are serious....

Guys, I love those 2 decoys Mark brought me this last fall. They are now sitting in my office helping me get over the end of the season depression!

When I get my 17 year old computer son to help me I'll put up a couple shots of those decoys in the water from this season, and some of the birds that we were able to take over them.

Mark, I got the bouy coot and the patterns the other day, thanks for sending them, I'll make a few this summer for the rig,
