Breaking out the diver decoy stash

Waiting on more greentops to show up so in the meantime pulled out the diver rig and layout for a hunt this week. The rig has been 30 years in the making. Mostly wood and some corks.

That is an awesome rig of mixed diver decoys. When you assemble, paint and rig your own blocks it's so satisfying to hunt over them. Love the Buffies!

I was beginning to wonder if anyone was duck hunting this season??

I thought of duck hunting this weekend. The place I was contemplating, FWC pulled the boards all at once and inundated the impoundment with salt water. Killed all the SAV the ducks like. So, unless I want to watch beautiful sunrises with the grebes and my new best merganser friends, that place is out. Lack of water around here has really concentrated what ducks we have and also the duck hunters...ah well....maybe the gulf is doing something

Might want to check the Gulf, I hear Mobile has tons of ducks on the saltwater.

That's all gotta weigh a ton. I hunt over wood blocks, but I hunt over 6-12 at most
