Breathable chest wader recommendation.

I'm 6'1' but only have size 9 feet. I'm looking for breathable early season camo hunting waders that have a long inseam.

Going back 20-25 years Red Ball masters would have worked but they aren't available any more.

I am your height but with a larger foot. I got a pair of the Red Head brand from Bass Pro and like them a lot. Your best bet is to go where you can actuall try them on. Hope this helps.

I'm about 90 minutes from a Bass Pro Shop. I'll probably go there before the season starts. They have the most inventory of any shop around RI. I stopped at the new Cabelas in Maine in June & it is not one of their large stores. Not a lot of choices.

I've had good luck with the LaCrosse Alpha Swamp Fox breathables. The have been rugged enough to be going on their 3rd season with no problems. Breathables sure make early season more comfortable down here in the South. Early season is a camo T-shirt and a pair of breathables.

simms rock... no camo pattern available but I never had a problem with them since I wear my camo jacket over em... they are tough as nails... 6 years of steelheading & early duck hunting... hopefully I get four of five more years out of em.. I tried the lacross swampers on at cabellas and they were very tight where the boot meet the wader... Orvis has some rock solid breathable waders 2...

I believe both companys will make a custom wader for you...

I use Simms for all my fly fishing and their great. I've got the same leg problem you have and the simms work great. I've used camo cover alls to cover up the waders when not hunting with camo-neoprenes.

Tight Lines ... Fred

I actually have a pair of felt sole Simms. I'll probably just use them to get started. If they rip they rip. My fly fishing is now restricted to one trip a year to Eustis Maine fishing out of a boat anyway.
