Building the aluminum NFZ.

Brad, Good things are worth the wait but SHeesh ;-) Just kidding, she really looks fine, hope it works as good as it looks. Can't wait to see her afloat. I especially like your counsel, I did almost the same plan when I converted my fishing boat to a tiller. I used wellnuts and thumbscrews so the dash would come off and lay flat to change fuses etc. Nice work.

Brad, I don't have the knees like yours to restrict the light, think I will try out 5 first. I will be ordering from you soon. Thanks for your help, I look forward to more pics.

YOu do some real nice, clean work Brad.

Thank you Brian. I have to give credit where credit is due though. Good friend and business partner, Gary Lefler of Hi-Caliber Metalworks is doing the fab work. I have done the electrical, foam, and will be completing the paint and finish work.

Appreciate the kind words and our thoughts exactly. The panel is easy off in case one ever needs to changes the instruments and/or wiring repairs.

Thanks and I'll get them out as soon as the order comes in!

Brad,
Finally got around to ordering the lights. I think they will make a HUGE difference next fall. Should make life easier finding decoys, gear, gloves, shells, untangling lines....etc. Look forward to putting them in my old boat. Thanks!

You will be very happy with these lights. I put 4 under the decks of my sneakbox, and love having light at my feet for the run out and while setting decoys. I placed mine so that I can't see the lights, but they luminate everyting so I won't be blinded when I look under the decks.

Hi-Calber Metalworks is done, now for the final touches, hydroturf and paint here at Toller Boatworks!

Brad, why not use welded on aluminum handles rather than the bolted on ones that are not aluminum?

Used to building out of wood when I ordered materials. Aluminum handles were kind of an afterthought once we had installed those.

Brad,
that build is awesome. You should be proud of the effort you and the welders have into it.
Chris is gonna want one just like it to hunt with his cousin.

lookin good! a few more Q's

is the cockpit size the same size as the wooden version? can you make a 16 footer, im thinking 18 would be a litle too big? any more input about a blind?
is there any way you can post a pic of you sitting in it like you would be hunting out of the boat just so i can see how much room there is in the cock pit

Thanks Chris.

Chris,

As 16' version would be doable. Yes, cockpit dimensions are almost identical. I'll try and get a picture of someone in the cockpit over the next couple of days. As for the blind, I would think we could easily come up with the frame however, the sewing part would have to be outsourced :)
