Burlap and paint a Herter's Mallard Decoy

Thanks Steve,
I really like the way the Herters Decoys ride the water. They don't bounce up and down like a cork, like the plastic ones do.
I am just going to work at it this spring and summer as I have time.
I looked on Ebay, and I was shocked at what prices these decoys are bringing! I guess I had better do a better job of taking care of them and making sure not to lose anymore of them. It will be fun to shoot some birds over them this fall.

Boyd, to get the feathers to flow from the neck draw some long pencil lines down the breast to the rear of the bird . It will keep the feathers from becoming distinct groups. Also paint from the tail to the front it will make the feathers lay on top of each other. bob
