Cabela,s agreed to take the Avery die-cut stuff back. Gotta love Cabelas return policy.
Anway, I am thinking about ordering some of the below netting from Barre Army Navy.

Anyway, anybody have any comments, other suggestions in the same price range or close?
I can do my whole boat with one order of this stuff.
Thanks to Chuck for the lead on this stuff!

The best netting I have found to use is the Military Green/Brown Camo Netting from Mack's Prairie Wings. On their web site it called Camosystems Basic Military Camouflage Netting. Cabela's used carry it. It is a rubberized material and the netting is not connected with rings. I used an old soldering gun to make cuts in the material as it sears the end of the nylon netting. I have also painted it with a good flat acylic exterior house paint to get a desired color. It should be washed with some detergent first. It is not light weight like the die cut material.

This not the German type of netting. This is much better in colder weather, but not super cold. Carl is in the warmer climate of the country.

The camo material that has a netting attached with a hot melt glue of some type does not work - at least in MN. When it gets cold, the glue cracks and the netting just falls off. Also, if you want to add some of your own paint to better match the area you hunt, the old German camo netting does not take paint well at all. I don't know what kind Dennis has but if it is the German netting, stay away in my opinion.

I see the camo you are looking at is attached to a reinforcemtn net with plastic rings. This is better than glue. I wonder how light this Cabelas material is. The lighter the stuff like Cerex, and some other Cabelas material just blows too much for my liking.

For what it is worth.

Carl,

I bought the same stuff from the same people. I'm pleased with the net and the order process. I would do it again.

I think this is the same stuff (Camo Systems brand) in a different color.

I ordered the Barre Army Navy Duck Blind netting. Just know that it isn't quite the size that they say it is unless you stretch it all out. The length was OK but the width was a little skimpy. I like hte way it looks but I will be mixing in some burlap as well.
