Camping last weekend

The wife and I headed to a beautiful lake 100 miles north of our house, very close to the canidian border. The small lake is approx. 3 acres. It is called Muskegan lake. Has lots of rainbow and cuthroat trout. We had a wanderful time relaxing and catching fish. Oh! how I love Washington State. I caught numerous trout with the largest measuring 20"inches. We had the lake to ourselves all three days. Never saw anyone else. Lots of moose and deer around.

First pic is of a waterfall on the creek that drained out of the lake just below our camp.
I caught lots of brook trout in the pool below this falls.

Next is our camp. We were roughing it as usual. Even had a scotch or two at night. HeHe

This is a pic of me catching a trout on the lake. And of course you know who was with me. Can't get away from here.

A man after my own heart. What great shots the two of you took. I, too, would have opted to do the exact same thing that you did. Looks like River was enjoying the moment also.
Thanks for taking the time to post this.

Gary the beauty of Washington and your adventures amaze me. Great to see that River has an intrest in fishing and not just ducks. Even better to see Susan had joined you.

Thanks for sharing the pics Gary. Wish we sould anticipate a camping trip alone by ourselves over here. Oh well. Please say hi to Suzanne for us. Good to see her out.

Good for you guys! That is a beautiful place for sure! I have a spot like that called Trout Lake, up on Sherman Pass. I need to get away soon!
