Dani, Where I hunted was about an hours drive west of Jacksonville. So i know you have those Gint Banana Spiders where your at. When I went into the woods there wasnt a chance in hell that I was going to see a deer. Iwas like a lighthouse walking down the trail. Those things are Man Eaters
 
Oh yeah, we've got the Giant Banana Spiders. One is usually found on the front porch, making a web from our bushes to the roof of the front porch, another is usually found by the trash cans on the side of the house between the jasmine and the big cedar tree and then more like to make their webs along the backside of our garage. And they get BIG too...but I like them b/c they stay out of the way...

But in the dark, I HATE em...Having one crawl down through your hair and then down your shirt...yup, I'll admit that I squealed like a girl...

Honest to God, if I even thought that there was one of creatures from a scifi movie anywhere near my house. I burn it down and then I would spray the ases down with DDT.
