Canadaian Red Legs

Jack,
My buddies son took a red-leg Black at the end of the season this year off Captree island. I didn't really realize it at the time but I remember commenting on both the size and the legs.
Sorry no pics.

I gunned out of Amityville for years. Buddy Toomey's Pearl Grey fishing station to be exact. Thats where we used to see them. Form all the reports it sounds like there is still enough of them around. Thanks I guess we just dont get them on the East End.

Pearl Grey is the best. I send everyone I know there for service. Never had a problem.

Can arrangements be made to launch out of there?

Pearl Grey cant still be owned by Buddy Toomey. It was absolutly the best place to keep your Duck Boats. Years ago in that area Duck Boats were stolen on a daily basis. Not at Toomey's The Boats were tied up 20' from the entrace to the Bar and the Bar closed at 4AM Just when I was going out Gunning. Pearl Grey was on Narrescatuck Creek, it never froze over so you always had access to the bay. We would launch at John Byrnes Park in Massapequa and then keep the boats at Toomey's all season. I called The Town of Oyster Bay to see if I needed a special permit to lanch trere and I was told . No permit required after Labor Day. The ramp is about a mile west of Toomey's and straight north of Bass Creek.
