Carving Horse

Does anybody have plans for making a carving horse? Rick Kyte said he thought somebody had posted some a couple of weeks ago but I couldn't find them.
 
If you do a Google search under "shave horse" you should find almost exactly the plan of the horse that was posted up from the get-together last weekend.

If you have a few more dollars than hours to spend building it, there is a place called Pole and Paddle (I think) out of Maine that builds them and sells them for like $175.

The Swiss shaving horse plans are the ones I used, just did some minor mods to the legs. I think the only cash money I spent was a finn for the 2x12, every thing else was scrap. WisPete and I talked a bit about it last weekend and doing it over I would make the arm a bit longer and set the hole in the head about 1/2" back. That would give it a bit more comfort and power. Also, think about covering the bridge and the head with leather or thin rubber for grip on the blocks. Have fun.
