Carving weekend this fall and winter

Hi fellas,

I'm putting together the schedule for this fall and winter's activities at the Rutgers Institute. For those guys that live a little futrher away, I thought I would put together a whole weekend session. I am extreme;y flexible on dates and details as of right now. I have a small building that can be heated that could sleep 4 guys comfortably (as comfortable as a cot is anyhow) and we could do food and everything. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, post up and any ideas you may have. Thanks!

Paul

Hey Paul,

Since I have the shirt, I'll keep a watch on this. I'm only 5 hours west. If you hold a class though a Saturday I would like to try to attend sometime. I'll be sure to bring a first aid kit!

Take care,

Ed L.

P.S. I like David's way of thinking!

David,

Of course. I spent 80 bucks on a coke machine that will hold longnecks. I dont intend to see it sit idle.

Ed,

I'd love to have you make it. Like I said, I have a place for you to stay.

I've been working on putting together a list of decoy related activities such as videos, slide shows, and I know the Doc is always up for a lecture (Ask Robinson, Definately NOT boring!) What I'm thinking of is a marathon decoy weekend. Trust me when I say, your head will be spinning with decoys stuff for months afterwards! I'd even like to have a few special guests to teach some old world stuff.

Michele and I have put a lot of effort into creating a waterfowl heritage museum over the past year. I will be unveiling it this winter. Not to brag, but I think anyone who has an appreciation for old ways of waterfowling would be impressed!

I'm pretty pumped!

Vullo, Get working on one of those free tickests. The depot isn't but 10 minutes from here! Bring the wife. Michele loved talking with her.

Count me in for a weekend date...I will definintely pursue at least a Saturday of carving if not the whole weekend...Is there anyway we can do a combo where the group brings their boats and we hit a local hunting spot, are there any spots within 20 miles of you good for hunting...I'll drag the BBSB up on Friday and purchase a MI one day license for the morning hunt...If not I can find a local hunting spot and make a weekend of morning hunts and maybe one evening hunt for divers and puddle duck hunting with a satifisfying kick of carving...I love the black cork and a bastard file for my body work...Might even try for the first time a full wood bird...

Regards,
Kristan

Paul,
It's less than an hour's drive for me, count me in. But, the sooner I get the schedule the better I can negociate clearance with the "tower".... ;-)

I might be good for a Sat. thru Sunday depending on the date. Heck, if the price of gas keeps dropping, I might make it on a Thursday night.

I live in Tecumseh MI, any weekend after the Holidays will work for me. I have been thinking about decoy carving for a long time. I probably just need some one to get me started on the right foot.

Thanks, Jerry W
