Guys, I sent a DP and a fatboy to the USCG testing facility in Solomons, MD. I want to sell them out there so that I do not have to ship them back. Shipping and crating are already paid, so that is a savings of $320 right off of the top. First takers get them.

What did the USCG determine for the Fatboy? Can it handle a bigger load and motor? Ya gotta spill some beans:)

Ryan had asked me this as well. Looks like I can have it one way or the other, but not both. For now, I am going to decrease the hp rating from 2.5 to 2hp and keep the capacities where they are. I can go to a heavier hp rating, but would have to decrease capacities and add more floatation. I may do that on a second submission, but am still not sure.

It is complicated, but the issue is with the way that the boats float with a load when swamped. We are still working on it.

So, the 'fatboy' is another boat, not the guy that took the DP to the Coast Guard?

Ed, you will likely get both cap plates. There is a 2.5 on yours.

Andy, if I understand your question- yes, the DP is sold and the original is still available.
