CHURCH DECOYS

Oh, THAT pot foam. My old friend Richard Parks in Harpswell Maine made me some Scoters out of old Lobster floats...pretty damn clever.

Hi Fellas, I'm new to this website and just wanted to comment on Church Decoys. I have a waterfowl guide service in South Central/Coastal Virginia. I have hunted greenhead gear and herters deeks with good sucess and put meat on the table and in the clients bag. Last year I started looking to upgerde or find something different to give me a leg up on the rest of the guys around me, and decided to go with cork deeks. After looking at alot of different options (types of cork, carvers, price, ect.) I decided to go with Dave and his deeks. Wow. These are not tan cork, pretty, smooth, fancy, or any of those things. They are lumpy, boxy, and generally not made for your mantle. What they do is bring in birds. The texture of the black cork makes the deeks look outstanding on the water, they ride well in big water, and do an awsome job. With any cork deek, they require just a little maintance, and you cant grab them like a plastic. But as most sucessful hunters know, these are small things that if you do them right, will pay off big. My clients love them and Dave provides world class service before, during, and after the purchase of your deeks. If you want deeks you can just throw in the bottom of the boat and beat to death, get plastics. If you are willing to put a little time and effort in your craft, you can't go wrong. Just my two cents.

So what you are saying when you use the monicker you have chosen to use is;

(A) I can't read the rules when I registered.

OR

(B) I could care less about your silly rules.

If you wish to express an opinion, please abide by the rules.

Sorry, I updated my profile. Like I said, I'm new on here. Thanks for the warm welcome Dave. I'm not sure exactly what made you so mad. If it seems like I was trying to sell something, that is not the case. Alot of people were commenting poorly on these deeks, and I just wanted to share my positive experence. So I'm sorry.

I am not mad, just stating what I see. What I don't see is "vaducks" being acceptable as in using your real name or a close variation of your real name. When you scan down the page and look at the user names you should get an idea of what is common practice for this site.

Matt (vaducks),
Glad to have you aboard.....and.......as Dave indicated........our "family" here uses real names. ;)

Also, just a thought but , it appears that you didn't read the entire thread of responses. Dave C. didn't need "rescuing" as he's fit in very nicely and has already been active here a bunch. He & I have also shared links on our respective websites.

You may have updated your profile but you are still violating the rule. Until your username is changed to a real name, and not vagducks, you will be chased by the hounds of hell.

Please comply with the rule.

Matt, It's a tough crowd and most of these guys don't mind going back to prison. Thanks for hanging in there and the nice things said about my deeks. I am a little offended that you didn't refer to them as sexy or slightly attractive in dim lighting. These are pretty good guys once you pick up the teeth that get knocked out and get the blood to stop flowing. LOL. Hope everyone is having a good season. By the way, anybody got a decent vendor for glass eyes....mine dried up on me. They don't need to be museum or competition quality, but don't want cross eyed or one lazy eye either. Thanks dc
