The future will be classic duck hunting and the boat to have is going to be the mellonseed to go with your hand carved deck's, wax wear jacket and your nice side by side( black powder)?You can lay in your melonseed and dream of day gone by and hope for a large flock of duck to land right in the middle of your spread of decoys,bang,bang you got a dubble.

Perry,
is that boat glassed on the bottom or is it just the way the gloss paint in the photo looks. I really like the shape and with a dark color it sure jumps out. Was the finished one in the second picture Maine built?

Great dream, but glad to have smokeless powder and Gore Tex. Also glad to have modern surgical methods and TV. Overcrowded hunting areas and gang violence, not so much.

Once had a Barbour waxed cotton coat that leaked like a sieve. Looked cool when i was hanging out with yuppies, but nowadays give me the new good stuff.

That second pic is outa sight and I'm not even a sailor. Oughta be in "Wooden Boat" magazine.
