I PURCHASED A RE-CONDITIONED TRI TRONICS FLYWAY EDITION LAST YEAR FROM THE COLLAR CLINIC FOR ABOUT $230. THIS IS LESS THAN HALF OF A NEW ONE. EVERYTHING WAS INCLUDED AND IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM. I'M A HAPPY CUSTOMER.

Yep,
on the recommendation of a trainer, I worked with them to replace the battery in a collar...great service!

Collar Cinic has a good reputation in the business. Also check with Tri-tronics as I have had them go above and beyond their stated warranty to repair their products. I don't know any collar company that does as much for their customers as Tri-tronics.

My e-collar transmitter crapped out before the season a few years back. I sent them the transmitter and reciever per their request. When I got them back they had given me a new transmitter but the reciever no longer worked. They told me to send the units back. I asked them if they would provide me a loaner becuase I was on vacation from work and would be hunting everyday and wanted the collar there too. "We don't loan collars." I thought "you sure don't fix them either now do you." Bought a new one and wish I had from the start. I'd have to exhaust all options before going to them again. Not good service in my opinion if you don't fix the problems, take about 6 weeks to not fix the problems, and then won't help the customer out while you sit on their collar not fixing it.

The last time I had my old beater Tritronics redone by them it worked great and they even painted it to freshen it up. I rarely use it so it's "gone bad" again and I'm sure it's just the battery. When I do use it I only have the lightest pin in and barely use it so maybe that's another reason it didn't last long. Anyway, I was impressed with their work and service though it did seem a little on the expensive side.

I wonder if they could fix my lite 200 2 dog system? I stump holed year before last and the only thing out of the water was my hat. I didn't need the collar last year due to back surgery. Time past and things corroded, because the o ring went bad before I stumped. Moisture set in on the battery and it corroded and even ate the two wires into going to the board. I hate to chunk it cause it cost me a good penny new about 10 yrs ago.

mostly good reports and on bad they quated me 75 dollers too fix it i just wonder how they can blanket quote over the phone with out seein or touching it they said it was becouse all the parts inside are availible and cheap just dosent sit easy with me a blanket repair price ya know

Collar Clinic fees....

I recall going to the TriTronics Corp. website and their repair fees were blanket prices too.... But maybe that's changed by now.
The blanket price gets you the repair you need, plus a few extra things that they just do as a part of the collar "tune up". New batteries all around, etc. The price was steep for the 2 collar repair, but still a heck of a lot cheeper than buying all new. I think they know they have you by the short hairs...
I sent my 2 dog "Sportsman" collars & transmitter to the C-C on a Monday and got it back same week, Friday. The collars are working great so far.

I'll use them again if I need too. (hope I won't need to for many years, though)

In all of my fumbling around last night on the net I came across a site that has replacement parts. The prices are great to. In my situation all I need is a new battery and o-ring. The price.. 29.99 I am going to order one today. The collar clinic wants 175.00 and tri-tronics price was 225. It doesn't matter what the problem was/is same price.

locally around here the prices on batteries are around 20 bucks ive already replaced both batteries still wont turn on a batterie specialty store should make a pack for you cheap around here i went too batteries plus

Leslie,

Not sure what kind of batteries it has, but I was able to get a replacement battery for my Innotek collar cheap from our local Interstate battery dealer - they stock every kind of battery from a hearing aid battery up to large truck batteries and everything in between.

If you don't have an Interstate Battery dealer, maybe a Radio Shack could help.

Also, our local small hardware store carries a wide selection of o-rings. Might be able to find what you need right in your local area and save a few bucks...

I have tried my local radio shack and it is what always is "we don't carry that". I could put their entire inventory in my closet and be able to keep my clothes too. I have not however tried a interstate dealer. I'll give it a go before I order thanks.
