This time of year it's common place in the Indian River Lagoon.
The big (10+) ten foot plus tigers & lemons come inshore to eat the breeding green & loggerhead sea turtles.
We haven't been out yet around Sebastian Inlet where we haven't seen a half eaten turtle or lost a fish to a shark as we reeled it in.
Over the weekend, we were fishing for blacktips @ dusk just north of the inlet & had already landed (2) two (6) six footers.
These (4) four Latin gentlemen motored up to the flat just south of us, bailed out of their skiff & started wade fishing in (3) three feet of water.
We told them the sharks were pretty thick in the area & they either did understand us or ignored us!!!
A few minutes later we hooked up on a small tiger (around 7 feet) & he made the mistake of running in between a couple of sandbars where we got him beached pretty quick.
Needless to say, the gentlemen after walking over (we were fishing atop the flat) to see our catch immediately proceeded back to their boat & left the area.
