Cooking in the blind

Pre made sammies would work to but a hot egg or grilled cheese sounds better. I was looking online yesterday and found a few neat backpacking type stoves that I think will work fine. Just need to figure out the pans, most of what I was able to find seemed low end to middle nothing high end and portable. I' ll keep looking. I checked out ll bean, cabbalas, gander mountain and bass pro. I like to look online the go to the store to actually see the item before buying if possible.

Hi Chris,

Two online sites to check out for your stove and cooking. I've ordered from both and haven't been disappointed. Good quality, good reviews, and decent pricing. Jim

MRE's no stove add water to make it hot hot hot and you can get some choice meals. Highly nutrional to get you through the caloric burn of staying warm all day. No clean up no wasted space.

This is the grill Cheech Kehoe keeps in his boat. Its the smallest version of the Weber Q. On those occasions (like this one) where we hide the boat and hunt from shore, we bring the grill with us. As I recall on this particular occasion, we had marinated goldeneye breasts, venison and marinated goose breast chunks. We've even done chocolate chip cookies on the grill.

Christopher,

How well do the MRE heaters work? I've been meaning to vacuum bag breakfast burritos to reheat in the "add water heaters" for years. Haven't got around to it yet but I do love my burritos.

I appreciate everyone's comments and insight. I am going spend my time putting together a kit(which will probably fit into a Pail), In order to meet my needs to cook a very nice hot meal while in the blind.. Thanks
