Cool Day, Cool Hunt.

I love hunting when it gets a bit cooler out. The new decoys worked pretty well, although they got a bit top heavy. Here is a couple pics from today.

Tom - looks like you had a great time out on a brisk day

nice brace of cans -- I think you can accept all the compliments on the decoys as well earned.

hahaha a "bit cooler out".....that is DOWNRIGHT COLD.....that hard water stuff....that is COOOOOLD

but great pair of cans and very nice decoys

Tom, Yep, I see, just as we talked about the ICE on the dekes. Well, at least ya made it out today and as a bonus some blood with ice on your dekes. I seen a real time weather video this morning of your area on weather channel. A Little lake effect snow and wind to say the least.
good job!

Sturdy looking decoys--the kind built to take real duckin' weather. Puts me in mind of Lake Terrell, up near Canada on this side of the continent, using my old Duracraft as an ice breaker to lead some other parties out on some days, and on others my old handmade corkers girdled with ice as the lake began to freeze. Smack 'em on the gunn'ls, shatter the new ice, move to another spot, rig again. A little cool weather makes for a good hot hunt sometimes...

Tom, those are magnificent looking drakes. Your description of a "cool" day is a wee bit different than the one I picture. Congrats.

Great decoys and ducks Tom! Getting birds over your own blocks adds a whole new dimension to the hunt.

We had a great hunt yesterday as well. I'll be getting some pics up here soon.
