A co-worker's father passed away. While going through his possessions my co-worker found these and brought them to me. I'm thrilled to have them as little pieces of history from north Alabama duck hunting. He hunted the Tennessee River near Decatur, the same water I've hunted since high school.

Wonderful stuff! I have some of my Dad's old licenses and stamps as well. I clearly recall each of those stamps shown (I did not buy my first 'til 1969). Of course, these truly classic stamps appeal to my aesthetic senses - before the modern era - when all stamps look about the same - photo-realism in predictable compositions. But, you have heard me bemoan this trend before.....

Very cool Eric. I have a bunch of my grandfather's hunting licenses from here in NJ as well. Dating back to the 50s I believe. I will send a pic later today.

He saved everything. As posted before here, and possibly included in an upcoming Field and Stream article, I have the original plans (along with shipping envelope) of Field and Stream's "Scaup" sneakbox plans. I also have an old Elto Ace 1-1/4 hp outboard from the 40s along with the original purchase receipt somewhere. My uncle has his old Ducktwin outboard.
