Cork decoy kits

This would be my first post on the site. I have noticed that there are a number of very talented carvers and boat builders that frequent the site. I would like to try and carve a few cork duck decoys (for gunning over). I live on Sauvie Island in the middle of the Columbia River (Oregon) so I would likely be looking for mallard,pintail,widgeon,scaup, or maybe canvasback. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to The Duck Blind, Willy will set you up with everything you'll need. He has a kit that includes cutout and all tools required to finish it. Second, I would find a mentor or teacher, this can shorten the learning curve considerably.

I'll second what Terry said - Call Willy. His website has the cyber classroom and he has great starter kits. He got me started and now I'm addicted
