Corvus - A Christmas gift for her Dad

Had a a customer order a Corvus (crow call) and wanted it to be something really nice. She knows her wood and went right for the amboyna burl. The band was kind of an after thought. Her Dad is in the neighborhood of 90 years old and calls the crows in just to feed them. So this is what Santa will be bringing him...I hope they both like it.

That is gorgeous work -- and an unforgettable Christmas present that will undoubtedly be passed down and cherished.

Thank you very much Troy, Rick, RT, Dave, Tom & Tom...

I hope her Father takes it out to hunt/feed with at least once when he gets it. After all, they are made to hunt with. I don't make "lookers" these calls have a very hard durable finish, they're built to take a little abuse.

I'm thinking he likely feeds them corn or bread...maybe even cornbread, who knows? From what I was told lead is doubtful...If that's what makes him happy though...

Thanks again everybody,
Steve

Thank you Al...Hey did you get that Dweeter out for any hunting this season?

This is a clue, Steve.

Steve, I couldn't resist doing that. I tossed out that widgeon wing for Caya. I love the call and it works like a charm.

Outstanding Al! Glad to hear it's getting some use. I love those shots of Caya in mid-pounce! Maxx is 85 pounds now and still likes to pounce on his play toys. He may be getting the nod for a Chesapeake Bay hunt in January...if he can behave himself that is.
