Damascus VS Twist Barrels

Tom. you have a lot of data to work with from the site and you will have to sift through the Bull Shit.
The mesurement to prof a barrel is taken with out side calibers nine inchs up from the brech,that is were most of the pressure will be, to rebarrel a shotgun cost $2,000 I am rebarreling a hammer gun and have about a hundred in to it,but don't lisson to me as I am gettig old and senile at 69 and can't remember what day it is. I guest my job in the Cabela's gun librsry is getting to me as I dont get home until 10:30 as alway my best,Bill

I thank you for the link to the damascus pictures. I had an old parker in my hand at a local black rifle type gun store that was being sold as a wall hanger. About a year before the articles you mentioned in the Double Gun Journal came out......
still believed the stuff about weak steel and let it pass......
I have the issues but it wont be till after christmas that I can dig them out if someone really wants the numbers. I think I sent steve a couple of pages photocopied. I do remember it spanned a number of issues and went on into the 10 ga and others for load data.
